SOS Hair is an ultra-luxury extension and wig brand built for longevity. Our hair is 100% Remy Indian human hair, cuticle-aligned to a 13A quality, and produced in Los Angeles. We customise colour and length on both bulk and one-off orders.

Where is SOS Hair's hair sourced and made?
Our hair is ethically sourced Indian human hair, produced in Los Angeles. Cuticle-aligned 13A quality means every strand runs root-to-tip for a natural, tangle-free, long-lasting result.

Do you customise colour and length?

Products & Hair Quality

What does SOS Hair sell?
Professional-grade hair extensions (Feather Weft, Volume Weft, Machine Weft, Keratin Tips, I-Tips, and Tape-Ins), custom-made human hair wigs, and at-home DIY hair (clip-in volumizers and Quick Hair Dye Powder). All hair is 100% Remy human hair.

What is Remy hair?
Remy hair has all cuticles intact and aligned root-to-tip, which prevents tangling and matting. Every SOS Hair product uses 100% Remy human hair.

What's the difference between Feather Weft and Machine Weft?
The Feather Weft is hand-tied and ultra-light (60–90g) for the most seamless, flat result — it can't be cut. The Machine Weft is thicker and more durable (120–175g) and can be cut to width. Read the full comparison.

How long do extensions last?
With proper care, tape-ins last up to 12 months (re-applied every 6–8 weeks), keratin/I-tip strands last 3–6 months, and clip-in and weft styles last 1–2 years.

Can I colour or heat-style my extensions?
Yes — our extensions are human hair and can be coloured, curled, and straightened. Use a heat protectant and keep below 185°C. Bleaching is best done by a professional.

Will extensions damage my natural hair?
Applied and maintained correctly, high-quality extensions cause no damage. Choose the right method for your hair density and keep maintenance appointments.

Choosing & Fitting Your Hair

How long does my hair need to be to wear clip-ins?
We recommend at least 6 inches (about 15 cm) so the wefts sit flush and stay hidden. Shorter hair? Message us on WhatsApp and we'll advise.

How do I choose the right shade?
Match to the mid-lengths and ends of your hair (not the roots), in natural daylight. Unsure? Send a daylight photo of your hair to +1 (562) 852-3809 on WhatsApp and we'll colour-match you. See our shade guide.

How do I choose the right length?
For the most seamless blend, pick a length close to your natural length; go longer for extra drama. Lengths are measured from the top of the weft to the tips.

How much hair do I need?
For all-over length and volume, most people love a full clip-in set; for a subtle boost, a single weft or our 3-piece set is plenty. Finer hair usually needs less; very thick hair may want an extra weft.

How do I clip them in?
Section your hair, tease lightly at the roots for grip, and clip each weft in from the nape upward — widest pieces low, smaller pieces at the sides. Brush through to blend, then style as usual.

Wearing & Care

Do I need to wash my hair before the first wear?
Yes — our hair carries a protective conditioning coating from manufacturing. A gentle wash before your first install gives the softest, most natural feel.

How do I wash my extensions?
Use a sulphate-free, colour-safe shampoo in a gentle downward motion. Condition mid-shaft to ends (not the roots or attachment points) and air-dry where possible.

How often should I wash them?
Only when they look or feel dull or have product build-up. Extensions don't get your scalp's natural oils, so over-washing dries them out — less is more.

How should I dry them after washing?
Lay flat or hang, apply a leave-in conditioner, and air-dry where possible. You can also blow-dry with a heat protectant.

Why are my clip-ins shedding?
A little shedding during the first few wears is completely normal. If it feels excessive, message us and we'll make it right.

Is some colour bleeding in the first wash normal?
Yes. A little excess colour can rinse out in the first wash or two, especially on darker shades — it doesn't affect the quality or final colour.

Can I sleep, shower, or swim in clip-ins?
We don't recommend it — it can tangle the hair and stress the clips. Take them out first; they clip back in within seconds.

Wigs

Are your wigs human hair?
Yes — all SOS Hair wigs are 100% Remy human hair and can be heat-styled, coloured, and cut like your natural hair. Each is custom-made and ships within 3–4 weeks.

How do I find my cap size?
Standard cap fits 54–57 cm and adjustable straps cover most head sizes. Message us on WhatsApp for help measuring.

Can I return a wig?
All wig sales are final due to their hygienic nature. Please contact us before purchasing with any fit, shade, or style questions. If a wig arrives with a mechanical or manufacturing defect, contact us within 48 hours with photos.

Orders & Shipping

How long does shipping take?
Standard US shipping is 3–5 business days (free over $250); express is 1–2 business days. Custom wigs ship within 3–4 weeks. International orders arrive in 7–14 business days. See our Shipping & Returns page.

How do I track my order?
You'll get a confirmation email with a tracking number as soon as your order ships.

Can I change or cancel my order?
To modify or cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible on WhatsApp at +1 (562) 852-3809 or by email. We can't guarantee changes once an order has entered processing.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes — to the US, UK, Australia, India, and most of Europe. Customs duties and taxes are the customer's responsibility, and shipping is calculated at checkout.

Do you offer payment plans?
Depending on your region, instalment options (such as Shop Pay) may be available at checkout to split your order into smaller payments.

What is your return policy?
You must file a refund request within 3 days of delivery, and returns are accepted only on unopened products in their original, sealed packaging. For hygiene reasons, opened hair can't be returned unless defective. All wig sales are final.
